Tournament Overview

Week 1 -4 (Tournament Cups)
  • Swiss Tournament held every week for four weeks
  • All games are of Best of 3
  • Placing in each tournament awards points
  • Check in opens @12:30pm and games commence @ 1:00pm
Play- Offs (Qualifiers)
  • The top 8 teams after 4 weeks determined by points total qualifies for playoffs
  • All games Best of 3
  • The two finalist teams will be determined for live finals
  • Check in opens @12:30pm and games commence @ 1:00pm
Live Finals
  • The finalist teams will battle it out at the UEL Live LAN
  • Match is to be played as a Best of 5

Tournament information

All matches will be played throughout the Saturday online. All matches played are Best of 3 Saturday Check in time – 12:30pm AEST

All matches should commence at 1pm AEST and played simultaneously. Failure to do so without proper reasoning, will result in penalties. Finals must be played to determine the Cup Winner for UEL. Winners of the cup are NOT allowed to participant in the remaining cup matches for competitive fairness.

The tournament will run on a point system over the 4 different cups. Depending on the placement of teams in the cups determine to points allocated to them. Each cup will give every teams opportunity to earn point and top 8 teams with the most point will proceed to playoffs to play in a double elimination bracket.

Points structure

  • 1st Place: 180 Points
  • 2nd Place: 120 Points
  • 3rd Place: 80 points
  • 4th Place: 60 Points
  • 5th – 6th Place: 40 Points
  • 7th – 8th Place: 20 Points
  • 9th – 12th Place: 12 Points
  • 13-16 th Place: 8 points
  • 17-32 nd Place: 4 points
  • 33 rd +: 2 points

Challenge Information

  • Brackets will be generated with existing data from teams
  • All tournament codes will be in your match on challonge
  • Leaderboards can be found on challonge, indicating match progression for all teams.
  • Team captains are required to send an end-game screenshot to match coordinators in the #end-of-screenshots channel

What Team Captains do on the day

Team captains will be the people in the middle who will communicate with Tournament Administration and Other Captains on the behalf of their own team. Please make sure to select your team captain before entering into the tournament.

  • We ask for captains to be on earlier than their team. This is so they can organise their team and get them on, on time.
  • Team Captains will check to see who they are playing against and communicate with the other teams captain to get both their teams into a lobby.
  • Team captains will have to save and post the end of game screenshot
